QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma and required special training.
- Prior job experience.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Demonstrate a relentless commitment to the academic achievement of all students.
- Maintain professional behavior, appearance, and work ethic to represent the school in a positive manner at all times.
- Articulate a positive image of the school and personnel.
- Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials, classroom displays, and instructional activities.
- Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher.
- Assist with the administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
- Assist in supervising students throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom, including cafeteria, bus duty, and playground.
- Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students.
- Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly classroom.
- Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
- Assist the teacher in keeping administrative records and preparing required reports.
- Communicate positively with students, parents, visitors and staff.
- Maintain a positive attitude and represent the school in a positive manner at all times.
- Effectively and positively communicate orally and in writing.
- Other duties as assigned by principals.
